Hotspots for Spring Semester

 

We have some great news to share! A limited number of internet hotspots are available for students to checkout for the spring 2023 term at no cost. To request a hotspot please complete this short form by Wednesday, November 30. Some hotspots may also be available for students registered for classes over the winter term on a first-come, first-served basis. You can place a hold by emailing library@cvtc.edu or calling 715-833-6285. 

We also have a limited number of other devices such as laptops and iPads that can be reserved and checked out from the library for 30 days at a time depending on availability.

 Are you a CVTC employee interested in the ways college technology can help you be more efficient, effective, and even more creative? Maybe you were intrigued by our last blog post on LinkedIn Learning, but just don’t know where to start?

Save the date for “Expanding Your CVTC Technology Toolbox” at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, as part of May Academy.

Join Nic Ashman and Nicole Breed, two of CVTC’s liaison librarians, to learn more about the following library resources available to you as an employee at CVTC:

Did you know that all CVTC employees and students have FREE access to LinkedIn Learning? Formerly Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning provides one of the most comprehensive catalogs of personal and professional learning resources available. Popular courses and subjects include:

• Mastering Self-Motivation & Time Management Tips

• Customer Service & Communicating with Charisma

• Success Habits &  Emotional Intelligence

• Microsoft Office, HTML training, & Mobile Photography

Summer/Fall Student Technology Resources

A limited number of internet hot spots are available for students to checkout for the fall 2021 term at no cost. To request a hot spot please complete this short form by Sunday, May 9. Some hot spots may also be available for students registered for classes over summer term on a first-come, first-served basis. You can place a hold by e-mailing library@cvtc.edu or calling 715-833-6285. 

A limited number of other devices such as laptops and iPads can be reserved and checked out from the library for 30 days at a time depending on availability. 

You will be notified the week of May 10 whether or not you are eligible. Be sure your phone is able to accept voicemails or to check your CVTC student e-mail during that week.
